Continuing Education Academy (CEA)

Ron Blank and Associates (RBA) is teaming with the leading building product manufacturers across the country to bring AIA components a one day CE Academy (CEA).

The CEA will include up to eight, non-competitive, one hour courses from leading building product manufacturers that are AIA approved, generic in content, and offer HSW credits. RBA makes all the logistical arrangements including the venue, the catering, all the reporting to AIA (if we are the provider), and any other normal expenses involved in the day. There is absolutely no cost to the chapter, and it is a great opportunity to bring in non-dues revenue for the component. RBA will have a representative attend each event and help set up, providing a backup projector, and making the opening presentation of the speakers.
RBA will design an invitation for the component to e-mail out to the architects and design professionals in the chapter area. We also provide a course description write-up to go in a monthly newsletter, and we will also advertise the event through our extensive architect database.

RBA is an American Institute of Architects Continuing Education Systems (AIA/CES) Cornerstone Partner providing continuing education to Registered Architects, Interior Designers and Engineers online, and face-to-face everyday. We are committed to bringing the design professional and the building product manufacturer, trade associations and building services together by offering courses that educate design professionals.

RBA has been a sponsor of the CACE annual meeting for the past 5 years and we provide scholarships for their members to attend important national AIA meetings.

Ron Blank and Associates was awarded the National AIA Award of excellence for CE in 2002. Ron served as a member of the national AIA advisory board for the Continuing Education Systems program for 2002 and 2003 and maintains a strong relationship with the CE program coordinators. We are professionals with an extensive background in the design and construction industry and are actively involved in the Construction Specifications Institute (CSI). Ron is past President of the San Antonio chapter of CSI.

Program Details

We are planning several seminars per month around the country and have listed them below. Each event has been confirmed with the AIA chapter in that city and we are now taking reservations. We are expecting between 25 to 60 architects, and possibly more to attend each session.

RBA will be sending out reminder announcements for your reservations to participate in these seminars as we get closer to date. You may reserve a speaker's opportunity on a first come basis, based upon how many hours credit the AIA component requests. Or, you can book a set of cities today for a reduced rate.

The current cost to the manufacturer is $1000.00 per hour of credit presented at each event. The manufacturer will provide the speaker and handouts for the course. Your presenter will be responsible for all their own expenses for the event, including their airfare and travel, food, lodging, etc. RBA pays for the catering and meeting room fee, our travel expenses, advertising of the event and the coordination with the AIA component.
