Title: Underground Stormwater Management

This 1 hour program = 1 AIA/HSW/SD LU

At the conclusion of this course, the participant will gain knowledge on the following:
1. The cause and effects of stormwater runoff and what the EPA and Municipality requires of you as the designer, including EPA Best Management Practices for both structural and non-structural solutions.
2. The options for underground water storage systems, and understanding the advantages and disadvantages of these system through a comparison study.
3. The benefits of using a Modular Detention System vs. the traditional water storage systems.
4. Underground Modular System Design solutions and the best practices for implementation, including calculations and placement options needed for excavation and installation.
5. The LEED program and how Modular Detention Systems can earn the project points when it is incorporated into a Sustainable Design.
