COURSE OBJECTIVES:
At the conclusion of this course the participant will gain knowledge on the following:

1. Define daylighting and identify the different types of daylighting
2. Describe the health benefits associated with natural lighting for the purpose of better advising clients and other design professionals
3. Explain how daylighting can contribute to energy reduction and help a building achieve LEED certification
4. Describe the behavioral properties of light and apply this knowledge to lighting design
5. Use a simple calculation to determine the number of skylights needed for a given application
