This one hour course will describe the evolution of light wood-frame and mass timber (CLT) construction and why it is an effective method to solving the affordable housing crisis. Our team will discuss how fire poses significant threats to light wood-frame and mass timber buildings-under-construction. We will also explore fire protection strategies and how to design safer and more sustainable buildings for occupants and first responders. Finally, we will review how fire inhibitors may contribute to LEED v4 BD+C projects.
M-Fire Suppression, Inc. promotes the most cost effective and safest way to build single and multi-family homes with lumber. Our protected lumber is safer than building with raw lumber which makes our buildings safer to live in and much safer for first responders during a crisis. M-Fire core products defend wood framed buildings from the advance of fire making fire fighters jobs safer as we try to save wood framed buildings from total fire consumption.
