Review material options such as stainless steal and HDPE for restroom partitions, locker rooms, and other applications while gaining insight into how these materials contribute to sustainable restroom design. This course will also define and illustrate responsible manufacturing as an important part of a product’s life cycle assessment (LCA).

Learning Objectives: 
  1. Define and describe the material characteristics of High Density Polyethylene (HDPE)
  2. Describe how HDPE recycled content reduces environmental impact
  3. List several ways HDPE materials offer both initial and long term improvements to the indoor air quality of any project
  4. Explain how responsible manufacturing is a critical part of any product’s life cycle assessment and give several examples of these environmental improvements over traditional manufacturing processes
