In this course we examine the differences between construction adhesives based on their core chemical makeup. Naturalist and author John Muir once said “The clearest way into the Universe is through a forest wilderness.” In this one hour course, the design professional will explore a simple engineered bridging system as an easy to adopt strategy for reducing wood consumption, while delivering superior performance and lower cost. Through a series of interviews and on-site job inspections, we will evaluate how bounce and vibration issues in floors can be avoided by using bridging systems, and calculate the potential for reduced wood consumption by opening up the on-center spacing of joists.
