Mr. Posenecker is the Senior Principal and Regional Facilities Manager for Terracon Consultants, Inc. He is a registered engineer in the State of Texas. His experience includes the design, construction, testing and forensic investigation of building envelope systems. Previously, he was an Estimating Manager with Chamberlin Roofing and Waterproofing from 2005 through 2015, Project Manager for Advanced Environmental Concepts from 1997 through 2005, an Engineering Team Leader at Southern Company Services from 1987 through 1997, and a Senior Engineer with Bechtel Power from 1982 to 1987. Throughout his career, Mr. Posenecker has participated in a wide variety of projects associated with the building envelope that include containment systems for commercial nuclear power plants; noise control systems for commercial and institutional projects; and waterproofing for commercial high-rise office and multi-family buildings, medical and educational institutional projects, and large concrete structural projects. Mr. Posenecker specializes in waterproofing and cladding systems associated with the building envelope. He is an active member in several professional organizations including the Austin Building Enclosure Council (BEC), National Institute of Buildings Sciences (NIBS), and the International Concrete Restoration Institute (ICRI). He is also on the executive committee for the National Building Enclosure Council.

The Air Barrier Association of America (ABAA) is a national, not-for-profit trade association that consists of a wide cross section of stakeholders in the building enclosure industry. Their membership includes manufacturers, architects, engineers, trade contractors, researchers, testing & audit agencies, consultants and building owners.
ABAA is the national voice of the air barrier industry and has raised the level of quality in the industry through a Quality Assurance Program and offers premier training, certification, product evaluations, contractor accreditation and site quality control audits. ABAA is active in the areas of research, education, standards development, building codes and technical resources for the air barrier industry. ABAA is focused on leading the industry into the future in a progressive and professional manner.

Roy Schauffele is an internationally published author and speaker in energy conservation and sustainable building envelopes, including air barrier technology, insulation, roofing & waterproofing, to improve building science, performance, and quality of life. He is President and founder of Division 7 Solutions, Inc, now entering its 37th year of continuous operations, and recently sold his manufacturing firm to an international corporation. He has served in various positions with ABAA, including three terms as Board Chair. He was the first to receive the Wagdy Anis Dedication Award for excellence in volunteerism, leadership, and mentorship within ABAA. He was among the first to achieve the Certified Air Barrier Specialist (CABS) designation. He currently serves as the Executive Advisor to the Board. Schauffele is also a multiple award winner from Build San Antonio Green, a former elected official, and a Gubernatorial and Texas Senate appointee. He currently serves the City of San Antonio as the Vice Chair of the Small Business Development Advocacy Committee. Globally, he is the only person to be a Fellow of CSI and ABAA. He continues to be a continually requested national speaker on energy conservation, air barriers, and sustainability. |
