This course provides an overview of how innovative base panel systems can significantly enhance the performance, consistency, and sustainability of artificial turf installations. Over the past four decades, artificial turf has expanded into a wide range of applications, including landscapes, rooftops, playgrounds, pet areas, putting greens, and sports fields. While advances in turf fiber aesthetics and feel have progressed steadily, the underlying base system has remained largely unchanged. This course introduces a next-generation base panel technology designed to address longstanding limitations. Participants will explore how this system improves drainage, structural stability, long-term performance, and environmental impact across various project types.

Learning Objectives:
  1. Discuss common foundations for synthetic turf.
  2. Compare the installation process, cost-effectiveness and sustainability of a base panel system versus traditional rock base.
  3. Identify the various applications of the base panel system, such as landscapes, rooftops, playgrounds, pet areas, putting greens, and sports fields.
  4. Recognize the long-term performance and environmental benefits including measurable reductions in labor, time, the use of recyclable materials and significantly reducing overall carbon footprint.
