This course documents the design challenges for the Health Sciences Education Building in Arizona. Design team members discuss sustainable sites, integrated design process, energy models, copper cladding, and the LEED campus approach. Ultimately, the documentary explores how a harsh climate and community needs inspire and determine building design.
Heather DeGrella, M. Arch, LEED AP BD+C was LEED administrator on multiple projects while at Sustainable Perspectives Group, including NC, Schools, CS, and EBOM project types. Prior to SPG, Heather was a Project Designer and Project Manager at Lake/Flato Architects for 10 years, where she worked on LEED registered and certified projects and served as the company's internal green team leader. Heather is past chair of the USGBC Central Texas - Balcones Chapter, and received her Master of Architecture in 1998 from the University of Texas
